Remember the time before George Lucas got alzheimer's and forgot how to make cool Star Wars stuff? Apparently, all is not lost in a galaxy far, far away. Enter the Droid 2 R2-D2 Edition available Sept. 30, from Verizon. Sure, it's no different spec-wise than the recently-released Droid 2, except that you don't have the most famous droid this side of Naboo designed into the back.
Plus, it comes with a bunch of additional Star Wars content built in. We're guessing we'll learn what exactly that content is once Verizon pays for that Death Star-sized pool at the skywalker ranch. In any case, this phone will surely pique the interest of more than a few Star Wars fans looking to kick their nerd levels into hyperdrive. Looking to get one? Follow @DroidLanding or visit Verizon's microsite.
