Anyone that’s seen the trailers to 'The Dark Knight Rises' would probably agree that Bane might just be the most harrowing movie villain we’ve ever seen. So how then do you accomplish the same look when you’ve just blown your money on an 8-week cycle of ‘roids and tips working at The Olive Garden aren’t paying the bills? Strap one of these to your face. Sure, maybe it looks like the inner workings of a Maytag dryer, but when the payoff is being able to freely dropkick teenagers wearing Batman costumes at Halloween, who the hell cares?

Apparently, your action figures need someone to offer them guidance and wipe their asses, because Mattel has announced they are including an Alfred action figure with their ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ line. We can’t wait for our favorite butler to claim a spot on our computer desks. Hell, maybe he’ll even dust them for us.

Odds are your mom collects Russian nesting dolls and cherishes them more than life itself. Add a little awesome to her collection, while looking like the greatest son in the world, with this Batman version. But be warned, these aren’t being manufactured, so you’ll have to channel your inner Norm Abram and get crafty.

Behold the most insane/awesome/mind-blowing Batsuit ever created. While we avoid renaissance fairs at all costs, we still appreciate the amount of artistry and craftsmanship that went into this costume. Made by Samuel Lee at Prince Armory, we’re praying to see footage of this Batsuit decimating in a LARP battle.

Bidding will start at $10,000 each, but will realistically end in the $500,000+ range (thanks a lot Nicholas Cage).

There were big changes in the Batsuit from “Batman Begins’ to ‘The Dark Knight,’ which had many fans wondering if the upcoming ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ would feature a similar evolution. Thankfully, as the cover of Entertainment Weekly shows us, it apparently hasn’t changed at all.

Being a vigilante sounds like a pretty sweet gig. You get to fight crime, destroy shit while chasing your bounty and of course, drop pun-filled one liners at every turn. But with the economy still in the tank and those acting classes still not paying off, who the hell can afford it? You’ve got gadgets to buy, a costume to build and a vehicle to get around in. Fortunately, this Batman Begins third brake light decal exists. It’s cheap, available in three sizes, and lets people who catch a glimpse of the rear end of your Toyota Camry know — that you mean business.

Historically, mixing a stadium or sports venue with an action flick has been a recipe for complete failure. Sure, seeing Billy Blanks cap middle linebackers on the run was cool in ‘The Last Boyscout’, but for the most part, the two just don’t go very well. But an entire field collapsing? Holy shit. That must be what it’s like to watch the New York Jets in the playoffs.

In addition to showing us some type of Bat-Bazooka, Empire magazine got some great info about ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ from its secretive director, Christopher Nolan.  We’ll cut to the chase – the new movie will be set eight years after ‘The Dark Knight’ with Bruce Wayne in an older, more haggard state.
