Batman: Arkham City is generally considered the best game of 2011. When a title gets this type of recognition, you can expect a “Game of the Year” edition.  Unfortunately, someone ruined the original design by spewing giant pull quotes all over it (it looks like the game’s title is “10 out of 10, Starring Batman”).  What once was an awesome box cover now looks like a cheap gossip magazine from the checkout aisle.

We’ve seen some extremely badass Star Wars fan art over the past few years. While Christopher Lee’s posters may look soft in comparison, we think they’re equally as awesome. His cartoony approach to the original trilogy is strangely satisfying and a perfect gift for any young (in age or heart) Star Wars fan. Each poster measures 16” x” 20 and will set you back $35.

DC Comics Changes Its Logo, Again

Since its creation in 1940, DC Comics has changed its logo eight times. In 2005, they replaced their recognizable “bullet” logo that had been around since 1976 with the “Spin” icon. After a brief six-year period, it appears DC may already be sick of that identity, as they have applied for a trademark of a ninth logo.

Graphic designers and Comic Sans are sworn enemies. However, if you are partially blind and feel that there is nothing wrong with the font, you should head over to the Comic Sans Project. You’ll see how some of the world’s most recognizable logos would look if they featured the cheesy typeface. Warning: you might not want to view this page on any empty stomach.

With Halloween in the books (single tear), we thought it was appropriate to post one last related article. Design website Very Small Array has put together this infographic of which monster might be coming after you, depending where you’re located. While they don’t reference their source(s), it seems apparent they were influenced by popular horror movies.
