The Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies adapted the comic book pretty accurately, except in one major area: web-slinging. In the comics, Peter Parker couldn’t produce webbing naturally, so he invented mechanical web-shooters that mounted to his wrists. While the original trilogy overlooked this major detail (showcasing his webbing as organic), this summer’s movie is making damn sure that it stays true to the comic book.

With HDTV’s practically available in vending machines these days, there’s little reason to actually go to the theater anymore. But for those who want the true moviegoer experience at home, you can’t stop there. There’s surround sound, a comfy reclining chair and perhaps most important of all, soda and popcorn with a price higher than the GDP of some third world countries. Sure, these Disney R2-D2 snack and drink holders are $50, but next to having your wife ask you, “Do you want butter topping?” with a pissed off look on her face, nothing will give you a more realistic home theater experience. And hey, authenticity has no price.

‘X-Men: First Class’ is a prime example of a comic book movie done right. Great acting, compelling characters, and a script that features a human element everyone can relate to. Rejoice, because Fox has confirmed that a sequel will start shooting in January 2013 and hit theaters either Christmas 2013 or summer 2014. Matthew Vaughn will return to direct, no word yet on which actors will join him.
