Presenting the Coolest Kids in the World
Behold Children Medieval Band. Featuring Stephan (10) on guitar, Olga (8) on keyboard, and Cornelia (5) on drums, this may be the greatest rock group since ‘Zeppelin. Most kids their age would cover an ‘NSYNC song, but Children Medieval Band is more interested in heavy metal. And by heavy metal we mean Rammstein. The little drummer is obviously the highlight.
Scratch Records, Not Your Table with These Retro Placemats
Unless you still live with your mom, odds are you have a cheap-looking, plywood dinner table. Class up your apartment with these silicone, dishwasher safe Record Placemats.
Rock Out on This Ukulele, Literally
Just like the keytar, it’s impossible to rock out on a ukulele without looking like a complete jackass. Or so we thought. Enter the Rock’em Sock’em Robot Ukulele. Just like most awesome things, it’s not cheap. Rock the stage and your bank account for $700.
Motorhead Shiraz? C’mon Man.
Presenting Motörhead Shiraz, one of the strangest product endorsements we’ve ever seen. Wine works well with meat, cheese, and Hall & Oates, but seems like the last thing Lemmy would slam on stage. Motorhead whiskey might be more on target. Regardless, you can preorder your bottle now.
Van Halen 2012 Tour Dates
Rejoice: The real Van Halen has finally released their 2012 concert schedule. They’ll kick off on 2/18 in Louisville and wrap-up in New Orleans on 6/26. We’re so jacked, we can barely see the road...from the heat coming off.
‘2112,’ and Its 20-Minute Glory, Hits Rock Band
Rush’s 20-minute signature track, ‘2112,’ is now available for Rock Band. If you thought listening to a 20-minute song was tough, imagine playing it on plastic drums. Actually, drumming this tune could be considered the “daily workout” you promised yourself on New Years Eve.
This Millennium Falcon Guitar May Not Look Like Much, but She's Got It Where It Counts, Kid.
Sorry to break it to you, but your mediocre cover of “Eruption” doesn’t impress your friends or make you look awesome. However, even the riff from “Walkin’ on the Sun” will blow minds if played on this Millennium Flacon guitar. Check out all of Tom Bingham’s custom axes on his YouTube page.
Proof that Retro Styling Makes Current Technology Awesome
If you’re looking for a pair of giant headphones for blasting Deadmau5, you might want to check out The Aviator from Skullcandy. Designed to look like pilot gear from the ‘70s, these are definitely the coolest sound-isolating headphones on the market. Packed with top-of-line technology and a 4.3’ Mic3 sound cord for answering your smartphone, dropping $150 on these is perfectly justifiable…sorta.
Suzanne Morissette is Probably the Coolest Bride Ever
Getting married is scary. However, getting married to a woman who plays the drums in her wedding dress is the exact opposite. Watch Suzanne Morrisette whip out a minute-long drum solo at her reception, without breaking a sweat or ruining her hair or makeup. Hopefully you’ll find a chick that wants to shred “Master of Puppets” after cutting the cake.
VIDEO: Billy Danger’s Stage Jump FAIL
Billy Danger thought it would be a good idea to dive off of a 12-foot high stage. Additionally, there was a lengthy space between the stage and crowd, meaning he needed to get some speed to clear the gap. Everything was going well until he jumped about four-feet early (just look at how much stage is still in front of him in the picture). The result: hilarity, a sprained ankle, and some bruises.
