It’s been almost nine years since Max Payne 2 hit stores; needless to say anticipation is sky high for the franchise’s third installment. Considering the excellent job Rockstar games did with Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption, we’re almost certain Max Payne 3 will exceed expectations. With revamped bullet time functionality, online multi-player, and jaw dropping graphics, you can bet this game will be worth every penny.

It’s no surprise that most gamers and NFL pros believe that gracing the cover of Madden is a curse. However, Calvin Johnson not only tossed this myth aside, he decided to strive for the cover as his goal for this offseason. EA just released the final box art, which looks just as you imagined. Everyone figured that Activision’s new Call of Duty game would be a sequel to 2010’s Black Ops, but no one imagined it would be set in the future. The brand new trailer reveals that the first-person shooter will be set in 2025 and players will channel their inner John Conner while they fight advanced, unmanned war machines. But don’t worry, you’ll still get to shoot bad guys too.

Batman: Arkham City is generally considered the best game of 2011. When a title gets this type of recognition, you can expect a “Game of the Year” edition.  Unfortunately, someone ruined the original design by spewing giant pull quotes all over it (it looks like the game’s title is “10 out of 10, Starring Batman”).  What once was an awesome box cover now looks like a cheap gossip magazine from the checkout aisle.

Activision has announced that it will reveal its new Call of Duty game on air during the NBA Playoffs on May 1. The announcement will run during one of the commercial breaks on TNT. Rumors and speculation have hinted that the game will be a sequel to 2010’s popular release, Black Ops. We don’t care what the game’s about as long as it has a Zombie mode.
